Keychains
This was a special keychain collection, as it was created with those cats in mind that have already crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
I started sketching these during the days without power after Hurricanes Helene and Milton swept through. It was hard to hear about all of the devastation caused, especially in places like the Rainbow Bridge near Lake Lure in North Carolina. So many people put their beloved pets collars there after they had passed, and Hurricane Helene swept the bridge away as it moved through the region. It was especially heartbreaking to me. There were also several stories of cat shelters working hard to help kitties stay safe, as well as calls to aid strays that may not be able to find shelter.
These keychains are a reminder of those cats that may not be with us anymore, but they exist still in our hearts. Some of them may have had the great fortune of living long and happy lives in doors, but some of the cats featured in the keychains have tipped ears from TNR, or disabilities. 3-legged, blind, deaf, house pet or stray...no matter what, those kitties deserve love and remembrance too.
I sell these keychains over at Raven's Moon in Tampa and offer this portion of proceeds to cat shelters and rescues impacted by hurricanes.
